Police arrest 8 robbery suspects, recover 166 computers in Bauchi

 The Police in Bauchi state has arrested eight armed robbery suspect and recovered 166 computers. The state commissioner of Police, Mr Lawal Shehu disclosed this at a press conference. He said the police were able to arrest the criminals through coordinated operation. His words,"Detectives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department arrested four suspects who went to the Bauchi State Institute of Computer Technology on 22/01/2015, tied up the security guards and made away with 302 laptops and 371 hard disks, all valued at N12.7 million. The state government bought the computers from INEC." 

Among those arrested for stealing computers are; Auwal, 50, Shuaibu Hussaini 28, Aliyu Musa 28, and Mohammed Inuwa. The police commissioner also said one stolen vehicle was recovered and that the suspects were assisting police with useful information that could help in the recovery more items
