Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has won the
senatorial election conducted in Enugu West senatorial zone of Enugu
State.
The returning Officer for Enugu West 2015 Senatorial Election, Prof. Fab Onah announced the results as follows-
APC- 2314; AD- 186; APGA- 425; PDP- 120,075; UDP- 57 and UPP – 15.
Also Hon. Toby Okechukwu was declared winner for Awgu Aninri Federal Constituency having polled 65929 to beat his closest rival Nwangbowa Ikechukwu of APC who got 1357.
DAILY POST recalls that Senator Ekweremadu, who contested under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, clinched the party’s ticket unopposed during the primary elections.
