BREAKING NEWS: INEC Declares PDP Udom Emmanuel Winner of Akwa-Ibom Governorship Elections

The Independent Electoral Commission in Akwa-Ibom state has declared the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Udom Emmanuel as the winner of the governorship polls.

Udom polled 996,071 votes as against his main rival, Umana Okon of the All Progressives Congress who got 89,865 votes.

It will recalled that the APC have asked for the elections to be cancelled even before the actual voting started owing to the electoral violence in some parts of the state.
