INEC suspends announcement of governorship election results in Plateau

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has suspended announcement of election results in Plateau till Monday, following the non arrival of results from Wase and Jos North council areas.
Officials said announcement of the remaining results from the two council areas would continue by 9: a.m Monday.
The commission also revealed that due to security challenges that occurred in Jos North, which led to the death of a voter, the result from there was being delayed.
Recall that Wase had an inconclusive elections in some polling units and voting continued there voting on Sunday.
Meanwhile, results of the following local government areas were announced before the closure of the collation centre.
LANGTANG south Local Government Area.
APC=13663 votes
PDP=19061 votes
QUANPAN Local Government Area.
APC=27472 votes
PDP=19965 votes.
