Nigeria and now, we have bicycle riders joining this trend, all aimed at congratulating political appointees.
Three men rode from Bauchi to Sokoto for 9 days to congratulate governor-elect, Aminu Tambuwal.
Somalia Mohammed, Nasiru Yau and Nuhu Ibrahim rode their bicycles for over 870 kilometres from Bauchi and arrived Sokoto by 11.00 am on Monday.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that on arrival in Sokoto, the three were received by a representative of Sokoto State Governor-elect, Alhaji Musa Girkau.
Alhaji Girkau assured them that Tambuwal was determined to join hands with President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, to bring the desired change in the state and the country.
“I want to assure you that this change is real and that Tambuwal is committed to improving the welfare of the common man,” he added.
Meanwhile, Aminu Tambuwal had told Nigerians what to expect when General Muhammadu Buhari is inaugurated on May 29 .
