Beyonce and Jay Z Visit Freddie Gray and Michael Brown’s Families

Beyoncé and Jay Z are showing their support for the families of Freddie Grayand Michael Brown.

After attending Prince‘s Rally4Peace concert in Baltimore over the weekend, the famous duo posed for pictures with both Gray’s family as well as Brown’s mother to lend their support during the tragic time following their sons’ deaths.

Gray, 25, died while in police custody after being arrested in Baltimore in April. Meanwhile, Brown, 18, was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri in Aug. 2014. Both deaths resulted in protests that Beyonce and Jay Z supported over social media.

In the first photo, both Beyonce and Jay Z pose separately with Gray’s family who wore t-shirts with the hashtag #FreddieGray printed across them. In a second photo, Bey is seen posing with Alicia Keys, her mother Tina and Brown’s mother.

Before attending the RAlly4Peace concert, Jay Z said in a statement: “I am honored to join Prince in his mission to inspire through the uniting power of music and be able to offer a platform where this moment can be shared globally. Our prayers go out to Freddie Gray’s family and every family affected by brutality and senseless violence.”
