The Lagos metropolis has seen the return of potholes on its major roads recently, which have been made worse by the rains. The state of critical roads such as Opebi-Allen and the Ahmadu Bello readily comes to mind.
Consequently, the Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) has scheduled for immediate maintenance and rehabilitation works on some selected roads across the city.
Mr. Ayotunde Shodeinde, Chairman of the Corporation, said the need to fix the roads became very necessary following the devastating state of the road after the heavy rains recently. Checkout the selected roads programmed for the rehabilitation said to be critical to Lagos traffic flow.
The roads listed for repair and others where works have begun are as follows:

- Ojo road, Ajeromi-Ifelodun,
- Old Abeokuta road, Agege,
- Iyana Ipaja-Egbeda Road, Alimosho,
- Shasha Road, Alimosho,
- Old Ojo Road, Kuye Amuwo-Odofin,
- Mowo-Ikoga Road, Badagry,
- Osho Road and Olubote Street in Epe,
- Lagos-Abeokuta Express way (Abule-Toll gate axis),
- Obafemi Awolowo way, Ikeja
- Oyemekun road, Ifako-Ijaye.

Mr Ayotunde Shodeinde should include Oko Afo/Ilogbo via Pota /Isamo in Olorunda LCDA in Badagry in the list of roads to be constructed this year. These roads are in pitiable conditions and need be put in shape to alleviate the sufferings of TAX PAYING LAGOSIANS in these areas.
