Restriction Placed On Okada Riders In Kano State During The Ramadan Period

The Kano state government has during its periodic security council meeting reviewed the restriction placed on the movement of motorcyclists in Kano in view of the Ramadan period.

The ban has now been relaxed by four hours, that is from 7 pm to 10 pm. The review is to facilitate movement to mosques and other places for Tafsir during the holy month of Ramadan only.
 
In a release signed by the Press Secretary to the Kano State Governor, Ameen K. Yassar said the government, however, wishes to restate that the ban on multiple riding of motor cycles subsists. Therefore it's remains an offence to carry a passenger on a motorcycle.
