Rihanna Covers NME Magazine, Gives Album Update

Rihanna nabs the inaugural cover of NME magazine.

NME is kicking off their weekly, free magazine strong with Rihanna as the cover star. The free magazine launches its first edition on September 18th, and ahead of it hitting newsstands on Friday, the outlet has revealed the cover shot.

In the interview, Rihanna gives a small update on her eighth studio album, tentatively titled R8. Apparently the album is yet to be finished: "To me it's never done until it’s done."

Kanye West is one of the reasons behind the delay, as she's been wanting to get in the studio with him and he's been extremely busy. "We just have to wait to get back in the studio together," she said. "His schedule and mine are totally opposite right now, but I think this month we’ll be back in the studio."

She continued, "I have so many songs I love—and they're so different—that it's hard to actually put them all on the same album."
