A tragic story out of Plateau state where a 40 year old man has been
arrested for killing his wife after an argument over the pregnancy of
the house help.
According to the Vanguard newspaper, the deceased had previously caught her husband in bed with the house help and left her husband but was persuaded to return by her family and pastor. It was on her return that the house help, who had been driven out of the house came back to break the news of her pregnancy.
It is unclear what happened next, but the lady was rushed to the hospital where both her and her child were pronounced dead.
The husband would have probably got away with it but for the alertness of a doctor who was concerned about marks he observed around the ladies throat. He informed the police and the man was duly arrested.
