The All Progressive Party (APC ) in Benue South has suffered yet
another severe political misfortune as notable chieftains of the party
in Apa council area have dumped it for the opposition Peoples
Democratic Party ( PDP ).
The decampees were led by Gen.Adoba and countless chieftains at an elaborate decamping ceremony held at IGA Okpaya of Apa LGA to receive them into the PDP.
In an address ,Gen Adoba said they decided to join the PDP because the ruling party had failed the people of the area
The defectors were received into the PDP by the state chairman of the party ,Hon John Ngbede who called for unity in the party as well as urged both the old and new members to work together to defeat the APC in the coming elections.
This defection from APC is coming on the heels of a similar decamping ceremony for over 2000 members of the party to the PDP in other parts of Benue south recently..
Over 0ne thousand members of the APC members in APA discarded their party cards to join the PDP during the ceremony.
Dignitaries at the occasion included, Abba Moro,former minister of Interior, Hon Ademu Entonu ,Member HOR ,Apa/Agatu and others.
