Daily Star Online report has exclusively revealed that a top robotics expert has uncovered the worrying truth that will come with the increased use of artificial intelligence.

Speaking in an exclusive video, Martin Ford revealed the dangerous threat that robots could cause if the technology lands in the wrong hands.
Mr Ford, the author behind New York Time's bestseller “Rise of the Robots”, has been warning people to rethink their approach to technology for years.
Now he is even more concerned that it could lead to huge problems if used by the wrong people.
He said: “Artificial intelligence, robots and smart software are going to be used by criminals to hack in to systems and do evil things."
The computer genius believes that while the machines have an exciting future in solving many issues and benefiting our society, there are also many warnings we must be aware of.
When questioned on the recent increase of blackmailing hackers, the experienced futurist gave an insight into what may be to come.
He admitted: “There will also be the other side, there will be good guys using artificial intelligence to protect systems.

“But, in general, as systems become more autonomous and people are not in the loop, they become more vulnerable to hacking.

“Think about self-driving trucks in the future that deliver all our food.

“We wouldn’t want someone to hack into those trucks and bring them all to a stop – that would be a huge problem.”
He also believes that robotics should be regulated and stressed that the technology could pose a devastating threat if used in conflict.
He warned: “There are many issues surrounding use of robots and drones in warfare. There is a debate happening in the UN surrounding whether these kind of weapons should be banned.”
Last year, Mr Ford participated in a conversation with the White House Chief of Staff about the potential impact and threat that robotics and artificial intelligence could have on our society.
His book Rise of the Robots: Technology and the Threat of a Jobless Future, is available on Amazon.
