Nigerian man has shared the story of how a man was allegedly brutalised
by officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). The man who share
the tragic story on Twitter noted that the victim was his cousin.
The Twitter user identified as Achumba Tony revealed that the victim was locked up for one months. He disclosed that his cousin who he identified as Eze Felix Onyenakasa was torture by Special Anti-Robbery Squad officers.
According to Tony, Onyenakasa passed away two months after he was allegedly tortured. He noted that his cousin’s death was caused by what was done to him in the custody of Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
He wrote: “My cousin died few hours ago from the torture he received from SARS about 2 months ago; he was locked up for over one month.”
Tony revealed that his cousin had passed away in the hospital after he was rushed there from the custody of Special Anti-Robbery Squad. The Twitter user did not state the reason why his cousin was taken by the officers.
You may recall that for a few months now, Nigerians have been complaining about brutality inflicted by officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. A campaign to end SARS brutality also began months ago.
