A suspected drug dealer
ran from the Police and buried himself in the mud after he was pulled
over in a car full of cocaine and crystal meth.
The suspect, Joe Hobson
Jr, was pulled over on Interstate 20 near Conyers, Georgia, USA, on
Thursday on suspicion of drug trafficking – but fled shortly after the
traffic stop.
Rockdale County
Sheriff’s Office set up a perimeter, and two hours later, the convicted
felon was found with his feet protruding from a cold, muddy drainage
creek.
Below is the full statement and pictures shared by Conyers Police Dept:
Drug Trafficker Extraction
This convicted felon is now back behind bars following a rather unusual series of unfortunate events (for him) yesterday.
Joe Hobson Jr.,
suspected of trafficking narcotics out of the Hunting Creek neighborhood
in Conyers, was located by a Conyers Police Detective yesterday and a
traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 20. During the stop, Hobson
fled the scene and onto DiversiTech's property, 1665 Dogwood Dr SW.
With the assistance of
Rockdale County Sheriff's Office a perimeter was set and nearly two
hours later Corporal Cook and Lieutenant Carson located Hobson's feet
protruding from a cold, muddy drainage creek where he had buried himself
and become stuck.
Rockdale Fire Rescue
did a fantastic job safely extracting Hobson from an extremely dangerous
predicament. He was transported by National EMS to the hospital and
confined to Rockdale County Jail before the night was over.
Hobson is being charged
with possession of 29 grams of cocaine, 7 grams methamphetamine, 12
ounces of marijuana, oxycodine, liquid codine, two handguns (one stolen
out of Covington) and had $4,000 cash.
Thank you to all that supported the manhunt in the rain yesterday and we are thankful for the successful outcome.
