The first phase of the MTN Project Fameseason 8 auditions wrapped up in Lagos over the weekend. With it ended the hopes of thousands of fame seeking young Nigerians looking for a shot at the prize money of N5m, a brand new SUV, a recording deal worth millions and the fame that comes from emerging as one of Nigeria’s hottest music prospects.

Those not unfortunate enough to make the cut this year will have to wait another opportunity next year. For others, the auditions brought them a step closer to their dreams of becoming the next Project Fame winner like Iyanya or Chidinma.

Up next is the round of competitions among qualifiers from Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Accra, Ghana as they do battle to determine those who get the nod to enter the MTN Project Fame Academy. The overall winner of the competition will walk away with a grand prize of N5m, a brand new SUV and a recording deal worth millions of Naira. There are fabulous gifts all around as well for others, from 1st runner to 3rd runner.
